Simalarities: 1. Materials, 2. State of Completion, 3. Equipment(active and idle), 4. Site Security, 5.Site Layout, 6.Onsite Parking for laborers.
Diffferences: 1. One project is Residential and the other is Recreational, 2. Basketball Facility has a flat rubber roof and the Residential hall has a slanted shingle roof, 3.Residential site is dirty and unmaintained, Recreational site is well kept, 4. Residential hall uses primarily hokie stone in construction and Recreational site uses concrete panels prominently in its construction, 5. Site logistics are different for the Residential hall because it is located directly on campus, 6. Residential hall is 4 floors and the Basketball facility is only two, creating different scope for each project.

Hvac demo unit carried by crane

In these two pictures a crane is hauling up a 300lb demo HVAC system into place
on top of partitions. Safety is crucial when carrying a load with a crane. Everytime this work is performed, someone should inspect the rigging to make sure it is securely fastened. The radius of the boom needs to be known so that a safe and installation is performed. And also a tag line should be tied to the load for better control of the load being carried. The crane operator is ultimately responsible for any problems but the operator should always be assisted by a signal person who helps the operator move the load into place.

This is a picture of me at the helm of the grader. A machine thats been around for some time, but has recently been updated with new computer systems interfaced with equipment such as that of Spectra I.S. Also this grader is controlled by two joysticks rather than a wheel that was once used. All this new technology helps create a more safe and efficient work enviorment on the jobsite.
New Surveying Equipment

This picture is of Spectra I.S.'s surveying units that are equiped with gps technology. Which allows for precise calculations and measurements of around the job site. This information can then be uploaded to other equipment around the site such as a bulldozer, which can then more accurately perform earth work, since now the adjustments to the blade are left to a computer and not the laborer.
